We are running a series of taster sessions and showcase events to find out more about the new publicly-funded University Technical College (UTC) opening in Sheffield this September. Young people, parents and teachers are welcome.
As we move into 2013, and the season of Year 9 option events in schools, we are focusing in particular on sessions for 13-14 year olds with lots of information and taster activities for those who want to find out more about study and career paths in our specialisms, the Creative & Digital industries and the Engineering & Manufacturing sector – both areas where there is a lot of opportunity.
Young people can join the UTC from age 14 and we are recruiting for Year 10 now! It is already apparent how popular the UTC will prove to be at Y12 so to guarantee a place the time to apply is at Y10.
